Why Resources Matter
Everyone deserves to feel supported. Understanding available resources for survivors of sexual violence empowers both individuals seeking help and allies wanting to make a difference.
The Bigger Picture
Sexual violence remains a harsh reality on college campuses. According to RAINN, 13% of all students experience rape or sexual assault—highlighting the urgent need for awareness, support, and action within our communities.
Greek Life & Elevated Risk
Nearly 1 in 3 sorority women experience sexual assault in college—four times the rate of nonsorority members. These stark numbers highlight the urgent need for awareness and support.
File a Title IX Complaint (Temple)
-
This involves a thorough investigation by the institution, which includes interviewing parties, witnesses, and gathering evidence. It can lead to formal disciplinary action against the respondent if a violation is found. This process can lead to a formal hearing and decision.
-
This process aims to find a solution without a formal investigation taking place. This can look like obtaining a no communication order, ensuring your class schedule does not overlap with the other student, safety planning and more.
