The Government Affairs Committee is vital in the fight for Temple’s Funding. As a state-related institution, Temple relies on Commonwealth Appropriations as a major source of funding. The Government Affairs Committee joins students together with alumni and administration to advocate for Temple University in Harrisburg. Campus Life & Diversity

The purpose of campus life and diversity is to improve diversity on campus. The CLAD committee will mainly be a forum where issues of diversity are discussed and addressed. In addition, we will explore a broad range of student groups to investigate how students are contributing to the eclectic atmosphere on campus. Finally, we will seek to facilitate collaborations as well as promote specific groups who excel in creating unique activities and events.

Academic Affairs

The responsibility of the Academic Affairs Committee is to hear from students about issues regarding
their academic experience at Temple University and work with administrators to address those
issues. We will be running a series of surveys and focus groups throughout the year to assess student
perceptions of topics ranging from the General Education program at Temple to their experiences with
academic advisors. This valuable information from students will lead to initiatives that are aimed at
continuing to improve the excellent academic experience provided by Temple University.
